Paddock Stand
« on: September 06, 2017, 07:40:08 PM »
Evening,

Just fitted R&G bobbins to the rear of 2014 SX , unfortunately my paddock stand wont open up wide enough.

Can anyone recommend one that does fit properly please?

Here is a link for the bobbins:http://www.rg-racing.com/browsebike/Kawasaki/Z1000SX_(Ninja_1000)/2012/SS0030BK/#

TIA

This R&G one: https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/99704
works very well with original, Kawasaki bobbins.

Pick whatever style you fancy from here: http://www.motea.com/en/Kawasaki/Z_1000_SX/2014/10200/paddock-stands-495.htm

Not saying you have to buy from here, but I'm happy to recommend their service & their prices are pretty good  :028:

The solution is very simple. Turn your stand on it's side and stand, both feet on one side. Grab the other end with both hands and pull hard till it wdens enough to fit. Done this with a few stands and especially with the r and g rear spindle sliders

Thanks for a the information, looks like the Oxford premium will fit just but it with a bit of tweaking a bit to open it up 10mm :038:

JMW: Would of bent my exsisting stand sometime ago if weren't made out of box section 💪💪

Wish I'd gone for the standard Kawasaki bibbins, cheaper and less greif ☺️

Those R&G slider / bobbins are no good if you need to remove the wheel. Get the Kawasaki ones, less grief as you said and they fit the Oxford stand perfectly.

I had the same trouble as you bought a new oxford stand that was too narrow , took it back to the shop, bought one of these stands from e bay , no problem at all , I am using the rear arm brackets and not the bobbins , you would have to fit the different attachment for the bobbins , I prefer it under the arm .

Decided to buy the R&G mounts and go for the Kwak originals, if any one is interest Im hoping to to recover 50 % of my outlay £30

Stock picture attached, these have only been on the bike for 300 miles and have never been used to raise the bike.

Will post them up in the classifieds.

Cheers all,

Jim
